Why Shin Pad is Important in Footbal

A shin perforated by studs in a football game could be seen as beneficical to some people. It’s well ventilated, for a start. And maybe having part of your leg smashed to pieces makes you that little bit lighter, at least when all the bone fragments are removed. So who needs shinpads at all?!

In fact, of course, shinpads are the most important piece of kit any football player wears. Without them, there would be far more injuries to football players, because the shins and ankles are very vulnerable in a football game. Not only is much of the game played by kicking at a ball on the ground, but players wear footwear full of brutal metal studs. A misdirected kick or a bad challenge for the ball could cause a lot of pain if a player wasn’t wearing shinpads.

The scariest fact of all, and one that should persuade any football player to wear shinpads, is that sometimes the shinpad isn’t enough protection. Players have occasionally found, after being on the receiving end of a hard sliding challenge, that their shinpads has been smashed into pieces. That’s what they’re there for. But what if that had been the player’s leg?

Football Fitness Program

Football is one of the most popular sports in the world. It is a game that requires great strength and endurance. The game, which goes on for 90 minutes, requires incredible amounts of stamina because of the constant running and jogging involved.

Due to these strenuous activities, football players need to constantly maintain a proper fitness regime. Professional football players should not be bulky in order to be active and agile on the field. Therefore strength, endurance and aerobic exercises play an important role in football training. There are different fitness programs that are specifically designed for football players. These programs concentrate on increasing speed, agility, and stamina of the players. They also help in increasing the overall strength and skill of the players.

Football demands high levels of physical activity. A professional fitness program can tap the full potential of a player. These programs ensure high standards of performance even with limited practice. Repetitive exercise is very important for endurance training. These programs also have tests after each training session. They periodically test endurance, strength and agility of the participants. The results are then compiled and if necessary, plans are changed to suit new requirements. Stretching exercises increase flexibility that is otherwise an undervalued aspect. All these activities together compile the perfect football fitness program.

Eating Disorder: How to Avoid It

Coaches need to seriously look into eating disorder in football fitness. Here are some of the tips that can prove valuable in preventing eating disorders in your champion players.
# Recognize The Signs And Symptoms Of Eating Disorders

An expert coach knows that when the players are facing eating disorders, they often try to hide their symptoms to avoid calling attention to them.

Therefore, you must be capable enough to instruct coaches and trainers to recognize the signs and symptoms of eating disorders and understand their role in helping to prevent them.
# Providing Accurate Information

Providing accurate information to the players regarding weight, weight loss, body composition, nutrition and sports performance is very important and every coach should learn to do that with perfection.

This will not only reduce misinformation but doing so will also challenge practices that are unhealthy and even counterproductive. Again, it is also important for the coaches to be aware of local professionals who will help educate the players.
# Emphasize The Health Risks

Another important thing in this regard is that the coaches must learn to emphasize the health risks associated with low weight, especially for female players with menstrual irregularities or Amenorrhea. If you find any such case, you should refer the player for medical assessment.
# Revering To A Sports Psychologist

Football Fitness Training: Long Distance Running is Outdated!

This purpose of this article is to get the correct information out about football fitness training. Articles that I write serve to keep football players, football parents and football coaches current with fitness training and strength training information. Lately I have come cross several different articles from various sources that mention long distance or long duration running for as part of football fitness conditioning.

Long distance or long duration runs are OUTDATED for football fitness. Most of these articles are written by people who write about football as a hobby and have good intentions. Furthermore what really got me steamed was that one person claimed to be an “online leading expert in sports”.

Yes this is a bit of a rant but if you are serious about playing or coaching football with an interest in football fitness you must know what is current and long distance running is not.

The key to any good football conditioning program has two elements. The first element is interval training and the second is sprints. football is a game of sprint -jog – walk. How many times have you ever witnessed a football player run at the same pace for an entire game?
